At the 4th edition of the AfricaSan conference, which took place on May 25 - 27 in Dakar, Senegal, the AWF presented 3 case studies from its 14 urban sanitation projects that best illustrated AWF’s Urban Sanitation Framework, as detailed in its Urban Sanitation Portfolio Review paper. Particularly, these projects focused on key sustainability factors, such as  public-private partnerships, financing systems, technological innovation, increasing demand, capacity building, strengthening municipal institutions, and the integration of business  approaches along the value chain.
